Situated approximately 20 minutes from the Cape Town city centre and 35 minutes from Cape Town International Airport, it is an easy getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Quest Bed and Breakfast is about 5 - 10 minutes' walk from the Melkbosstrand beach where you can enjoy long walks and take in the best views of Table Mountain and unforgettable sunsets. One is often fortunate enough to spot whales very close to the coast as well as dolphins playing in the waves nearby. We are within walking distance from a few popular restaurants, quaint coffee shops, supermarkets and shops, surfing, fishing and boating and world class kite surfing venues. A 10-minute drive takes you to lots of famous restaurants in Bloubergstrand. We are right next door to the Atlantic Beach Golf Course for the golf enthusiasts and a fifteen-minute drive from the start of the wine routes and numerous nature walks. Positioned in Melkbosstrand on the Cape West Coast, Quest Bed & Breakfast is also close to reserves such as the West Coast National Park and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens as well as historical sites and landmarks such as Robben Island and Table Mountain. The new My Citibus service offers early to late transfers to all the popular destinations and the terminal is a five-minute walk away. This is a cheap and efficient way of getting around Melkbosstrand and into the Cape Town city centre.

    Melkbosstrand

    Melkbosstrand is the first village on the West Coast, just 26 km from Cape Town's city centre, on the Atlantic Ocean. Officially part of the Blaauwberg municipality, Melkbosstrand has some of the most beautiful wide, sandy beaches that offer hours of breathtaking walks with views over Table Mountain and Robben Island, safe swimming, ideal conditions for kite surfing, windsurfing, crayfishing and boating and some of the best sunsets.

    Melkbosstrand is well known for its seafood. There are a number of restaurants and two large shopping centres in the area and easy access to golf courses, Ratanga Junction, Grand West Casino, Canal Walk and of course, the wild flowers of the West Coast, when in season. Melkbosstrand, named after the milkwood trees growing north of the town, is also close to the Durbanville winelands and the majestic mountains of the Boland. The Koeberg Nature Reserve, nearby, has a number of fynbos-rich walking paths that pass through beautiful cliffs, dunes and beaches.
